Iron Tide Command
★★★★☆ 4.2
Iron Tide Command asks you to think like a quartermaster as much as a general. You defend and expand a chain of island bases, and the whole thing lives or dies on how well you route resources between them. Send everything to the front and your back line starves.
Battles play out on a clean hex map with fog of war that keeps you guessing. We appreciated that a smaller, well-supplied force can beat a bigger sloppy one, so scouting and timing feel meaningful. The AI opponents probe your weak points rather than charging blindly.
It can be dense for a phone game, and the tutorial glosses over a few systems, but once it clicks the campaign is genuinely gripping. We lost a whole evening to a single stubborn island.
What we liked
- Supply logistics that make you think
- Fog-of-war battles that reward scouting
